EAT, Pray, Love Manila style

Manila
January 28 - 30, 2012

Thank You Piso Fare! We booked these tickets to Manila last year just for the heck of it-- It's Piso anyway! LOL We were kinda debating on what to do and where to go and an overnight stay was out of the question since it was Lola Annie's birthday (my bf's lola) on the 29th. So we decided to do our own version of eat, pray, love in Manila. Hahahah.. Well, mostly all we did was EAT! If this trip was a movie, 50 minutes would be dedicated to eating and drooling scenes. Hahahah.

The Fort
We met up with Justine, one of my bestfriends and had the best cupcakes ever! We walked around the place just to build up an appetite for dinner hahahah see we love to EAT!! The Fort is such a lovely place, it reminds me of Singapore's Clarke Quay.

Going home was an indescribable experience. We commuted from The Fort to my boyfriend's place and we took the MRT and the LRT. The LRT ride was okay, I was able to sit down and breathe but the MRT ride was horrific! I didn't expect that!

Going home. (Cedrix hugging his new shoes lol)

Happy Birthday Lola Annie!
The next day we woke up early and went to church. We had lunch together with Cedrix's family since it was his Lola's birthday.

His lola is such a good cook and she has been feeding us non-stop the entire time we were there! :)

After lunch we rested a bit and went to Greenhills to start our shopping extravaganza. I didn't have time to take pictures anymore because of how engrossed we were LOL. Yes, my boyfriend shops! He carries the bags hahahahah but seriously if you catch him in the right mood he's an awesome shopping buddy. (Note to self: feed him before shopping). I got so excited when I found a store that sells VS PINK shirts, jackets and jogging pants. Yehey! After 5 hours of walking around, haggling and shopping we had to go home because we had no more money, we were hungry and Greenhills closes at 8PM hahahah.. We went back the next day and spent another 5 hours there! I bought a lot of stuff to sell back home which btw are now sold out. Yahoooo!

These short trips together are always fun. We get to bond, talk, make fun of each other, de-stress and just spend time together. It's also exciting because we don't know our way around Manila that much. I got mistaken for a foreigner twice! The Kalesa driver asked if I was Japanese and another person thought I was not pinoy lol I guess it's because I don't talk that much whenever there are tagalog people around: 1. I'm not that good at it and even though I want to my boyfriend makes fun of my bisaya-ness and baluktot-ness LOL. 2. I'm afraid that if I speak bisaya in the taxi the cab driver might fool us. 3. I'm also scared that the salesladies won't let me haggle hahah so as crazy as it sounds whenever I want to haggle the price of a dress I whisper what I want to my boyfriend and ask him to do it.

Here are some pictures of the VS items that I bought and sold. A big thank you to my investor too! Mmmwaaaah :)

Thank You Manila for the fun, the food, the shopping and the pimple that you gave me!

See you soon Manila!
